I’m sure by now you’ve heard about HGTV’s
new show, Home Town, that was filmed here in my hometown of Laurel,
Mississippi. I told you about it in my last post. The pilot will be aired
tomorrow morning, January 24 at 12pm eastern/11am central.
This is a BIG reminder to watch/set
your DVR/or just leave your TV on at that time. If you need more reasons to watch,
check out this online article from Country Living magazine about Home Town. If
the pilot gets picked up, several more episodes will be filmed. We are all so
excited here in Laurel!
Over two years ago, Flea Market Style
magazine featured a young couple that lives here in my hometown of Laurel,
Mississippi. They are Ben and Erin Napier and I told you about their FMS
feature in this post. I’m telling you about The Napiers again, because this energetic
couple is starring in a new HGTV pilot that was filmed here in Laurel last summer.
The show is called Home Town and the pilot will air Sunday, January 24 at
12pm EST/11am CST on HGTV.
If the pilot receives positive
viewership/feedback, the show could be picked up by HGTV and more episodes filmed here. The producers of Home Town are also behind the hit shows, Fixer Upper and
Property Brothers, so we have very high hopes and expectations. Laurel has been keeping this "secret” for months and we are so happy that we can finally tell
all our friends!
If you would like to know all the behind-the-scenes
details, you can read about it in Erin’s online journal. Then, BE SURE to
watch on January 24. We love Ben and Erin and we think you will, too!
I’m also super excited because
Southern Antiques, where my booth is located, is featured in the pilot. I don’t
think any filming occurred in my booth, but Ben and Erin did buy an oak table from me for the home featured in the pilot. I can’t wait to see if the table appears on
screen. I’ll let you know……
