I always try to keep several pretty plates in my booth. You know the kind….those delicate china plates that we like to display on walls, in china cabinets and fancy plate racks…the ones that are marked Limoges or Bavaria or Austria .
I’ve shown some of them to you before....Like this Limoges plate....
And these pretty plates hand-painted with pink roses....
Well, someone must have acquired a new plate rack recently, because they bought five of my pretty plates last week. So I dug around in my china inventory to find three more pretty plates and I thought you might like to see them.

Do you decorate with “pretty plates” ???

Those plates are beautiful! I especially love the one with scalloped edges and pink roses. I, however, don't decorate with plates. I do have a few that were my Grandmothers. And I have a collection of pretty luncheon plates that I use for teas and simple luncheons.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
sandy :)
Those are so pretty Sherry! I decorate with plates but tend to use more mid-century modern patterns. I really love the plate with the cobalt edge, it's unusual!

Oh my those are gorgeous! love pink roses. I have some in my dining room around my Grandmothers mirror, all family pieces. My cousin and I like to buy small lunch plates cheap even if they are slightly chipped. When we are together just eating a muffin for breakfast off of one of those pretty plates makes it so special.
ReplyDeleteOh, how could you let go of those? They are all so pretty. Love them all. They would make me stop and go in your booth.
ReplyDeleteI don't have any decorative plates- but, they are so delicate and beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love pretty plates and tea cups but I've never really known how to display them. These really are lovely. You've been in my thoughts. I hope everything is going well! Sweet hugs!
ReplyDeleteThose are all so pretty! I especially like the second one with the scalloped edges.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.

They're all gorgeous! I have plates displayed in my china hutch and in my kitchen cabinets with glass. Most of them belonged to either my aunt or grandmother which makes them extra special. Thanks for sharing some of yours Sherry.
ReplyDeleteI just kept saying oh, oh, oh, they are gorgeous!! I do keep a few plates in a rack at home and in my booth.

I do decorate with plates but they're of the kitschy, souvenir variety depicting places I've been or have lived. I have a few similar to yours that belonged to my grandparents and maybe it's time to get them out the box they've been hiding in for years.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!

I don't decorate with pretty plates. However, my husband's late grandmother was a FINE china painter and we have many pieces that we inherited from her. I try to incorporate them judiciously. I also have a whole bedroom filled with all kinds of family heirlooms that I don't wish to incorporate in the rest of the house. I call it my "pretty room".
ReplyDeleteOh yes...I do have some beautiful plates...most of them came from my MIL. Thank you for sharing at my party this week...it's always good to have you here.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Linda
Sherry, your plates are beautiful. Bet, they won't last long in your booth. Blessings, Trisha
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I actually make them into cakes stands. Hmm, I should share that in my blog sometime.
ReplyDeleteYou know I decorate with plates--all from your booth! If you ever find a plate(s) with dogwoods instead of roses, please remember me!
ReplyDeleteI have a friend that can't get enough of unique dishes. I can't wait to show her your blog!
