Spring has almost sprung here in
South Mississippi and seasonal pastel colors are popping out everywhere; but, it was RED that caught my eye at the estate sale last weekend. Red just has a special way of standing out in the palette of many colors at a vintage sale.
I brought home a basketful of reds…….
A red/white plaid dishtowel made it into the basket as well as a red plastic Lustro-ware recipe box.
That box would have been even better if it had been full of old handwritten recipes, but it’s OK. I found several vintage cookbooks!
Look at this old 1955 cookbook from an Electric Cooperative in
…. Floydada, Texas
I also bought the popular River Road Cookbooks from the Junior League of Baton Rouge, Louisiana…..
Is red your favorite color?
