Have you discovered the website EstateSales.net? I’m fortunate that some of the estate sale professionals here announce their upcoming sales on that site and post pictures of many of the items for sale. Looking through the photos for the only estate sale this weekend, I wasn’t too excited about what I saw; however, I’ve learned that not everything is pictured and some of the best things are discovered in person.
So Mom and I checked out the sale Friday morning, regardless of my skepticism, and found out that it was definitely worth the trip.
I found a set of 3 Pyrex refrigerator dishes WITH LIDS in the Early American pattern, a set of Lefton Mr. and Mrs. Claus hugger salt and pepper shakers and a great hammered aluminum tray.
Take a closer look at the handles on the tray!
There were several old books. I brought home a 1952 World Atlas, a child’s book of Bedtime Stories, a book entitled Sewing Made Easy (I need that!) and an old dictionary for crafting!
But the best kitschy, vintage finds were these 3 sheer aprons. There is a green apron with red stitching, a white one with green holiday flocking (both perfect for Christmas) and then there’s the cute one with the bright pink and purple flower.
Oh, my, my!!!
Would you wear that pink/purple apron???
