With sunny skies and morning temps in the 70s, it was a great weekend to check out the area yard sales. Armed with the classifieds and mugs of coffee, Mom and I left early Friday morning with high hopes of finding some treasures for my booth. We logged over 50 miles on the car, but it paid off because we found…....
Two matching ceramic wall pockets, a Nashco New York metal tray, a blue/white cow creamer and a hard-to-find "Star of David" stuffed egg plate.
We also found a vintage brown/white train case by J C Higgins, a cute fabric bell pull with 3 yellow birds, a 1959 calendar plate and a vintage GE kitchen clock.
We continued the hunt Saturday morning and continued to add to my growing inventory.....
Since Christmas is just around the corner, I picked up a box of vintage Christmas ornaments, a Waechtersbach Christmas tree mug, some holiday guest towels and a vintage copy of The Night Before Christmas.
Did you treasure-hunt this weekend?

I haven't been treasure hunting in awhile and seeing your 'Great Haul' sure makes me want to go. Your EAPC 'Star of David' Egg Plate is a 'Super Treasure' and very RARE. Don't see many these days for any price. Also loved the Wall Pockets. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteFun stuff! I did treasure hunt up in Boston. Had to leave my finds with my son since I couldn't carry them on the plane!
ReplyDeleteI love the old book! I went to the Thrift store and found 2 Christmas bell pulls...I guess they're called! They each have 5 of 6 bells and sound so pretty! Enjoy your week, girlfriend! ♥
ReplyDeleteGreat finds Sherry, so glad you had a great day treasure hunting. So much fun to spend the day with your mom. Another one of God's many blessings.

ReplyDeletethe crazy thing Sherry is I don't really like shopping or buying, I get most of my stuff now from a picker, I just like the creative end. I did go to an auction last month that I loved. This was a good week for you! the train case and ornaments, i would like to find some ornaments for my booth.

I have that very same clock! I found it at the curb and now it's sitting in my basement. Guess I should pull it out and do something with it, hmm?
ReplyDeleteGreat finds. Stopping by from Linda's NTT party.
You really found some fun stuff! I love the clock and the Christmas things. I do enjoy hitting the garage sales, but in this area, they are almost over due to the weather... Darn it!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
Pam
