A Friend’s Attic

A few months ago, a friend called because she was cleaning out her attic and thought maybe she had a few vintage things that I might like to buy.

Well, she did it again!

Close-up of cards shown below

She found a few more boxes, gave me a call and I couldn’t wait to see if there were more treasures to discover.

Right away, I found an elegant set of crystal salt & pepper shakers with an embossed rose pattern and an Imperial Glass Cape Cod sugar and creamer.

More digging and things got colorful. I uncovered this yellow California USA tidbit plate, a pastry knife and another sugar and creamer…this time green Moon and Star.

Another box yielded more color and more California USA pottery…..an avocado green stuffed egg plate. There was also a box of vintage Current recipe cards and a gorgeous set of eight 1950’s Cera tumblers…in the original caddy!

Aren’t attic-cleaning friends THE BEST?!?

I'm taking my treasures to the following parties:

Magpie Monday at Me and My Shadow

  3. Yes, I'd say attic cleaning friends are great, especially when they have cool stuff such as your friend does. The tidbit plate is great and I like the green egg plate as well. The green Moon and Star set is lovely, also. What fun!

  8. We don't have attics in Phoenix...I just realized thats kind of depressing.:) But what you got is SO beautiful I love the glasses especially still in their holder. Oh and the recipe cards if they have actual recipes on them thats the new HUGE thing on eBay so take care of them!
