Surprising Weekend Finds

The weather was beautiful this past weekend so treasure-hunting was on the top of my wanna-do list.

A trip to a near-by thrift store netted two 1940s-era magnolia prints by Rene’.

There were not many Friday yard sales, but they did hold some nice surprises. I found a set of 1950s aqua canisters, a vintage tablecloth and 3 colorful striped tumblers.

I also purchased two lacy metal frames since Carol at My Polka Dot Closet showed us how to refurbish them. Here's her tutorial.

The surprises continued on Saturday when I found a great piece of vintage luggage, three old cameras, several calendar kitchen towels and a glass towel bar, which needs some serious paint removal.

And then there was one more surprise!!!

I didn’t think it could happen again!

It's just not possible!!!

How could I possibly find another one?

Is there a sign on my back that says, “I buy all……

hymnal racks?!?!

Unbelieveable!!!

  10. Hi Sherry!

It's good to be back! Missed you! Wow, I need to go hit the sales with you. You are one lucky gal! We had a ton of garage sales this past weekend but they mostly consisted of baby clothes and toys. I love the old hymnal rack! I can't wait to see what you do with it. I liked how you used them to house plates in the previous post. Great vintage prints and cameras too!
I'd tell you to have a great week, but looks like you already are off to a great start :)
